Reconfigurable optical recognition of 2 independent data patterns using wavelength multiplexing and nonlinear wave mixing
Abstract
We simultaneously recognize 2 independent patterns (2 or 3 symbols) in 15-and 20-Gbaud QPSK inputs using independent reconfigurable weighted pumps for each pattern at different wavelengths. Wave mixing generates correlation outputs, with pattern matches indicated by a unique symbol in the output constellations.
