Ewa Deelman’s Pegasus workflow helps reveal Milky Way black hole’s spin and orientation

A new study reveals that the Milky Way’s central black hole is spinning at nearly maximum speed and is oriented almost directly toward Earth. The research used USC ISI’s Pegasus workflow, developed by Ewa Deelman, to manage the massive data processing involved. Pegasus was also featured in an earlier project on black hole analysis.
